Interior design is intimate. Doing it really well requires more than great taste.

Home is the most vulnerable space we spend time in. Designing it well requires trust, honesty, and a willingness to go deeper than surface-level preferences.

Modern bedroom with a white upholstered headboard, white bedding, and a wooden nightstand holding a white sculptural lamp, books, and a decorative object. Large window showing city buildings in the background.
A marble wall with beige, brown, and cream tones with a glass door on each side, and a floating beige marble shelf holding a tall, dark glass vase with bare branches inside.
A woman with dark hair, wearing a black blazer and black top, sitting on a white table with her right hand resting on a stack of fashion books. She is smiling at the camera, in a room with white walls, a white bookshelf with books and a black vase, a branch with small pink flowers, a white vase with pink flowers, and a decorative floral blanket on the table.

The Suzanne Falk Design Philosophy

  • Interior view of a modern living room with white built-in shelves, books, decorative vases, and artwork, with a beige sofa, a white rug, and a coffee table with decorative objects.

Great Rooms Start with Great Conversations:

My design process happens for you, but not without you. This is your home, your life, and your investment. I'll bring the expertise and creative vision, but the result is exceptional when we develop it together. I'll never tell you what to love. I'm here to help you discover it.

  • Interior of a stylish room with dark blue walls, a round mirror, a black console table with a pink orchid, books, and a bronze sculpture, two brown ottomans, and a ceiling light fixture.

Quality That Reflects Your Lifestyle Standards:

I source pieces that are built to endure, both in craftsmanship and style. Timeless design isn’t about chasing trends or filling rooms with things that need to be replaced in three years. Every item I specify has been considered for how it's made, how it feels, and how it holds up over time. You get what you pay for, and I take that seriously.

  • Interior view of a home entryway showing a staircase with dark steps and a white railing, next to a wooden cabinet and a round table with a vase of white flowers.

    Thoughtful Sourcing with a Story:

I love the hunt. Whether it's locally handcrafted furniture you can visit before it's finished, a vintage find with a past life, or something I carefully carried to Chicago from an antique shop in Paris, I believe the most interesting homes are filled with pieces that share your story.

  • A turquoise vintage toy horse with a damaged ear, standing on a floral book titled 'John F. Kennedy' on a white surface near a white bookcase.

Sustainable Practices Built into the Process:

Beautiful design should never come at the cost of your health or the environment. I prioritize non-toxic materials, pay close attention to off-gassing, and source locally whenever I can. Sustainability isn't a selling point for me. It's a baseline for the way I do business.

“We loved working with Suzanne. Our home is not only beautiful, but thoughtfully designed in a way that truly reflects how we live.”
